My Introductory message this morning is entitled:
The Journey Of Faith - “Where Is Your Faith?”
The Journey Of Faith - “Where Is Your Faith?”
My text is found in
Luke 8:25 (NKJV)
25 But He said to them, “Where is your faith?” And they were afraid, and marveled, saying to one another, “Who can this be? For He commands even the winds and water, and they obey Him!”

Imagine yourself in the boat with the disciples
Jesus said: “Let us cross over to the other side of the lake”
They launched out into the deep - Jesus fell asleep!
A Windstorm came down on the lake, the boat begin to fill with water
(They were in jeopardy) In danger, in great danger, real danger
When you face the storms in your life, is your faith rooted in Christ?
As a young adult you may be facing Education or Employment challenges. Where is you faith this morning young people? Is your faith rooted in Christ?
Young adults seem to be more Sensitive to life’s ups and downs.
You need Jesus to help you navigate the storms in your life.
Your storm could be Drug abuse, crime, violence, sexuality and poverty.
You may be dealing with issues related to body image, family problems, negative stereotyping, or pressures of 24 hour social networking
If your faith is rooted in Jesus He has authority over all the issues in your life.
As an Older Adult, you may facing declining mental and physical health
Issues like arthritis, diabetes, heart disease, anxiety and depression. (Knock Knock, who’s there? Arthur! Arthur Who? Arthritis!
Is your faith rooted in Christ?
Is Jesus Asleep in your boat?
Let me give you another example of faith

30 By faith the walls of Jericho fell down after they were encircled for seven days.
City of Jericho was fortified
How many of us are surrounded by walls of unbelief?
Has unbelief caused you to doubt God’s word?
Jericho was a city northwest of the Dead Sea that Israel first conquered in their entrance into the land of Canaan.
1. Now Jericho was securely shut up because of the children of Israel; none went out, and none came in.
2. And the LORD said to Joshua: “See! I have given Jericho into your hand, its king, and the mighty men of valor.
3. You shall march around the city once for six days.
4. On the seventh day, march around the city seven times. and the priests shall blow the trumpets.
5. When you make a long blast with the ram’s horn, and when you hear the sound of the trumpet,
Than all the people shall shout with a great shout; then the wall of the city will fall down flat.
Today let the word of God give you faith to stand against unbelief, in every area of your life.
Young adults and older, should Learn to trust God even though you can't see him working
Our faith should always be growing
God is always working behind the scenes.
We shouldn’t only have faith, when we can see where we going
Conclusion:

The African impala can jump to a height of over 10 feet and cover a distance of greater than 30 feet. Yet these magnificent creatures can be kept in an enclosure in any zoo with a 3-foot wall. The animals will not jump if they cannot see where their feet will fall.
The African Impala didn't have any faith
Faith is the ability to trust what we cannot see.
With faith we are freed from the flimsy enclosures of life that only fear allows to entrap us.

Lord I believe that Jesus is the son of God, and that He died On the cross for my sins and His resurrection from the dead gives me eternal life. I ask forgiveness of my sins, and I accept Jesus as my Lord and Savior. Amen.

I want to take a few moments to give you the opportunity to ask forgiveness of any sin in your life.
Let us pray over the elements (Cross Exposed) in the name of the father, the son, and the Holy Ghost
Read first Corinthians 11:23- 26 - (Taking the elements together)
23 For I received from the Lord that which I also delivered to you: that the Lord Jesus on the same night in which He was betrayed took bread;
24 and when He had given thanks, He broke it and said, “Take, eat; this is My body which is broken for you; do this in remembrance of Me.”
25 In the same manner He also took the cup after supper, saying, “This cup is the new covenant in My blood. This do, as often as you drink it, in remembrance of Me.”
26 For as often as you eat this bread and drink this cup, you proclaim the Lord’s death till He comes.
